Marius Pinigis ir Oksana Griaznova / Nuepiko (Lithuania) – MODERATION
Duration: 60 min.
Free admission.
Our current society promotes the idea of having more as a virtue, as something that brings happiness. Moderation is very often forgotten and ignored. More clothes, more friends, more pleasures, more money, more work, more sports, more learning, more achievement, more efficient, faster, etc. All the things are not bad in themselves, many of them are healthy and necessary human needs. But when they become inert, out of conscious control, they become unhealthy.
Better, nicer, faster, more.
Nothing to do with asceticism.
When something that is useful, healthy and necessary for a person,
Crosses the threshold and becomes harmful, toxic.
This is something we deal with almost every day.
When something is just too much. Lack of balance.
Workaholism, perfectionism.
Everything is good in moderation.
Moderation is the skill of not falling into extremes. Behavior, emotions, attachments.
Moderation is not abstinence, it is the search for a harmonious existence.
